Hey All,
Sorry, but the next episode is being delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Stay tuned as we will announce the next show as soon as we get it in the can, so to speak.

Well, the first episode is "in the can"! So much for "movie" talk.
The premiere airs Sunday Sept. 6th, 2009 - it will re-air through out the month on every Sunday at the same time as well as on Tuesday nights at 11:00pm. You can view the show on Comcast channel 73 or Cox channel 98. (Cable only, as this is a public access show.)
We hope to be raising enough sponsorship to eventually take this show to main stream TV in a few months. We believe it is an important enough issue that should easily make companies and individuals get pro-active on the problems and issues and help us advocate on behalf of all foster kids, not just in AZ, but nationwide.
Stay tuned and please watch the show, and of course tell all your friends and neighbors as well. Let us know if you are going to have a "Hey! We are watching FosterUP party" - you never know, we may just show up with cameras and you might get on the show.
Also, don't forget to discover our website and all the information therein. You might be surprised at what you can find. If something is missing, and you feel strongly about it, please let us know. Simply use this contact form to do so.
Thanks for popping in and we look forward to hearing from you.
P.S. - Yes, it will happen. In the not too distant future... you will be able to see FosterUP! online as well. Stay tuned and check in often.

Welcome to FosterUP!
This being the very first blog entry, I suppose it would be best to make it interesting and yet keep it somewhat short. Hence, to accomplish this, I had best explain what the heck FosterUP! is. Okay, here we go:
FosterUP! was merely an induced idea that came to be from an individual that was quite simply on a quest. A quest that had to do with helping one child. A young teenage girl at that.
To be fair, this man does need to point out that this man's wife was in "the system" when she was a child. Hence, there was always an interest in somehow getting involved. But, now it was a serious and immanent issue.
You see, before this man and his family knew it, they were sitting in a court room to show support for this soon to be foster daughter not realizing that the judge would actually help initiate the process and steps to becoming foster parents. It all happened very fast actually. It was now a court order in a sense. But what do we need to do???? That was the question of the century.
We dug. We dug deep on the internet. (Okay, we cheated and used Google.) But only after several searches did we even figure out what the first thing was that we needed to do.
We needed to go to an orientation meeting of some kind. Yes, that's the ticket. Fortunately, on the day we figured that out, it so happened that exactly such a meeting was taking place that evening. Off we went!
We learned about foster care. We learned what needs to be done. We now understood more about what the judge meant by "you will need to get licensed". But if it wasn't for our digging, searching, looking and yes, Googling... we probably would still be trying to figure it all out.
These events pretty much made it clear that it was not obvious on how things work, how the system works and so on. It was not obvious that there are a lot of good kids that need foster parents.
Hence, perhaps it would be an appropriate time to see if such information, no, such very important information could somehow be disseminated in a better way. The concept of FosterUP! was born. - Nothing more than an idea, some elbow grease, hopefully some nice sponsors and finally a TV production that will take the viewer through it all, over time and hopefully many episodes. Yes, there is lots of information - but then again, the more you know, the better off we all will be, and most importantly, the next generation - yes, the kids!
Here is just a little preview of the show and it's intent. Enjoy.:
